The classes are offered to learners at all experience levels.  Jump in as a beginner, or take your work to the next level in an environment of supportive instruction. Typically the classes are composed of adults and older teens and class size is limited to 8 students.  Classes for children are offered when enough interest arises.

Each 4-week session is themed to develop experience and understanding of a particular technique or concept.  The class period combines a lecture or demonstration followed by individual instruction as students work on painting from still life setups designed to provide practice in the technique being studied.

Jennifer Fairbanks, the gallery owner, is a working artist in the classical realist tradition. Her work has been exhibited throughout Kentucky, New York, and Spain, and has found its way into private collections around the country. She holds a BA from Murray State University with an emphasis in painting and ceramics, and an MA from NYU in art therapy. In 1998 she received a grant from the Kentucky Arts Council to study painting in New York. There she studied figurative and portrait painting with Ron Sherr and Mary Beth McKenzie at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Design. She has taught privately for many years, and has taught drawing at Murray State University as an adjunct instructor.
